The charging time for lithium batteries is affected by multiple factors such as charging current, initial charging state, charger efficiency, BMS and ambient temperature. The actual charging time range is about 2 – 20 hours. If charging with a charging current of 10A, it will take about 10.5 hours;
In general, the maximum charging voltage of a single cell of lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries is usually around 3.6V-3.65V. For a 24V LiFePO4 battery pack, it usually consists of multiple batteries in series. A common one has 8 batteries in series. The maximum voltage is generally between 28.8V and 29.2V.
This will be affected by the power of the different Floor Machine devices; if the power reserve is 300W, then a 25.6V 105Ah Li-ion battery will last for about 9 hours in a normal environment.
Obviously we do not recommend overcharging the 24V 105AH floor machine battery. One of the main functions of BMS is to prevent overcharging and over-discharging of batteries. When the battery is close to full capacity, BMS will automatically adjust the charging current, so that the charging process enters the constant voltage charging stage, and the charging current will gradually decrease. If forced charging continues, BMS will take protective measures, such as cutting off the charging circuit, to protect the safety and performance of the battery.
In terms of voltage, connecting two 12.8V batteries in series can get a voltage of 25.6V, which is theoretically feasible. But in actual operation, there are several points to pay attention to: First, the capacity (Ah), internal resistance and other parameters of the two batteries should be the same as possible. The second is to install a suitable battery protection plate. This protection plate must be able to monitor the status of two batteries at the same time. It can prevent problems such as overcharge, overdischarge, and short circuit. Third, when connecting batteries, we must ensure that the connection is firm and reliable. Generally, high-quality nickel sheets or copper bars are used to connect, and the connection points must be insulated to avoid short circuits. Finally, appropriate charging and discharging parameters should be set based on the total capacity and voltage of the battery pack after being connected in series.
